GTG GNOME Do plugin (2010)

Description: GNOME Do plugin for Getting Things GNOME (a simple task manager and organizer for Linux) which allows you to quickly add a new task and edit, complete or delete an existing task.

The plugin also supports tags and recognizes human readable date strings, so for example if your task starts tomorrow and ends in on week, you could enter something like this: prepare some research papers starts: tomorrow due: +7 days @asap @work

Words which start with a @ are recognized as a tag.

The plugin itself is relatively simple, but due the bug in ndesk-dbus package which comes in Ubuntu I have spent a lot time debugging and researching and during this time I have learned a lot about DBUS and IPC in Linux (if you are interested in DBUS, you can find a pretty good introductory presentation here.)
